Spring 2012: The Chanel runway showed what I refer to as classic ‘Jackie O’ silhouettes and a few styles that I could have seen on ‘Holly Golightly’ in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The stretched (portrait) neck line and stand-up collars are a refreshing twist on jackets. Love the lowered front pockets. This is an inspiring approach that adds a bit of panache to classy pieces that will forever be timeless to me. (See the rest of my favorites from Chanel in my lookbook – titled ‘Out of the Blue’ on Style.com).
The LOFT held a spring style event on March 10th. Music and beverages were on hand to make the shopping experience relaxed and fun! The manager and staff were warm and welcoming, wearing colors reflecting the LOFT’s spring styles. I loved the bright colors that were showcased as soon as you walked in! These fun shades are dominating trends, classics and sophisticated styles this spring/summer 2012 season. I for one will love adding a bit more color to my staple darker wardrobe. Seeing the bright – tangerine, fuchsia, pink, yellow, green, blue – hues inspired me to mix it up! I’m going for bolder colors and loving it! These colors will mix up easily with your favorite jeans, blazer, skirt or jacket and transition well for any occasion. And don’t forget the accessories! Big rings and faux stone bracelets add the right amount of fun flair to personalize and complete your look!
The LOFT. Live in color this season!
