Some cute summer sandals and pumps that make for a fun day! While most outfits showcased in magazines and blogs put emphasis on a ‘statement’ piece of jewelry, I always opt for the footwear. If you’re wearing solid colors, go for a print or patterned heel. If your outfit is printed, go for texture in a solid color. Or if you’re mixing and matching prints/solids strappy sandals work best. No matter the look, make it yours. And if you keep to statement accessories, go bright with mani/pedi’s.
Peep toe booties are OK for summer months as long as you don’t wear them with dark colors. A pair of white skinny jeans would be perfectly paired with these rose suede booties. Throw on a black tank and let the color go to your toes.

Here are my June picks for twelve days of stepping lively. It’s a warmer month, and sizzling colors are making their début. From bright yellows to hot pinks, nothing is off limits. Shoes have become an art form in many ways and this month my sole inspirations came from cool prints and hot hues found it everything from maxi dresses to ‘caviar’ manicures. If there is one pair you’d want to add to your collection, what would it be?
There are many things I love about summer. Beach walks, seeing flowers everywhere, riding my bike, wearing big hats and fun outfits in an array of cool colors are a few things that come to mind. In that mix lies the vast variety of shoes – open-toe, wedges, flip-flops, sandals, sling-backs, platforms – that are best paraded during the warmer weather. And the added bonus is? Showing off that way cool Pedi-color and bringing a little sparkle to a crossed leg, model pose or a walk down the street (where you secretly hope other girls will notice). So embrace the summer’s newest Pedi hues – yellow, lime green, bright pink, tangerine – and break out the ankle adornment.

Digging through my old shoe closet in the house I grew up in, I was happy to discover shoes that I was proud of back in the day (80’s). They were even in boxes labeled ‘The Wild Pair’. The stores may be gone now, but a few of my favorite ‘wild pair’ still remain foot worthy to me. Here’s a look of what cool was (back then) and a style trending today under the disguise of ‘ballet flats’. With neon (nail polishes, tops, skirts) also a big trend at the moment (as it was in the 80’s), who’s to say we’ll be able to resist the irresistible iridescent pair much longer? These unique shoes will definitely make it into my vintage shoe collection (for display only) that has become my trophy treasures.

As most women, I’m infatuated with shoes. So, I decided to pick 12 outrageous styles that given the opportunity, I’d wear twelve days in a row. Here are my enthusiastic picks for twelve days of vibrant and vivacious happiness.
And I don’t think there is a better quote out there summing up how we quite possibly treat our shoe collection. “The look he shot her was incredulous in the extreme. “You have a filing system for your shoes?” – Nora Wilson, Guarding Suzannah
These vintage brooches and fun bangles will chase away all your blues. Dare to be edgy with a new twist on the old trench coat – fabrics with a bit of sheen. Add a little sparkle to your step (or outfit) and bring out the confident “Miss Modelina” in you!

Everyone is dreaming of warmer weather, longer days and walks on the beach this time of year. At least I am. In going through my summer shoe collection I was happy to pull out a few of my beloved pairs that I cannot wait to wear! Here are 3 – one in each category of high heels, espadrille sandals and flip-flops – love the sequins on these and they dress up a sun dress with just the right about of sparkle. The only problem is which pair should I put my toes into first!
